While A.D.S Australia has a strong history in traditional screen printing and signage production, we have invested heavily in Digital technology and are constantly at the front of the technology curve.
Our experience is that print volumes of a single design have reduced but the number of designs printed is increasing. Customers enjoy the flexibility of printing multiple designs in their campaigns. This trend lends itself very strongly to digital technology and as the technology increases, the total cost of production to our valued clients, continues to become more and more affordable.
Digitally printing can be completed in two processes: Print and mount or Direct to Sub-Straight. With print and mount, we digitally print to self-adhesive vinyl and mount this self-adhesive vinyl to the sub-straight, maybe metal, acrylic, plastic, corflute, etc. With Direct to Sub-Straight printing, as the name suggests, we print directly to the sub-straight. This requires Flatbed Printing Technology. The capital cost of a flatbed printer is much higher, but the production benefits mean your order can be turned around quicker. This is particularly important when you have a production run of point of sale promotional signage that needs to be in stores across the country.
The Roland XF-640 is capable of printing 40-80 square metres per hour at photo quality. With its improved technology the XF fires a finer dot which produces a rich, bold colour and deep image saturation on a much broader range of stocks. Our Roland is ideal for printing high quality posters, stickers, clear vision and vehicle graphics.
From 2011 to 2015 A.D.S run its digital department with its main machine which was the Vutek QS2000. In Mid 2015, the machine has been upgraded to the new Vutek GS3250LX PRO LED. This Vutek has "cool cure" LED technology which means that it can print a wider range of substrates including recycled and heat sensitive materials. The GS cuts the current print time on the QS in half. With its production level speeds we produce jobs faster and offer better print prices.
The type of items we print using digital technology include:
